ADO-EKITI — The Ekiti State Government has awarded a ₦578.6 million contract to Doylit Nigeria Resources Limited for the construction of an e-office and conference hall for the state’s Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) in Ado-Ekiti, according to procurement records cited in a recent report. The contract, valued at ₦578,595,238, was published on the Ekiti State Open Contracting Portal on August 17, 2026. The procurement record identifies the Bureau of Public Procurement as the procuring entity and lists Ado-Ekiti as the project location. However, the award has raised questions because available Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) beneficial-ownership records reportedly link Doylit Nigeria Resources Limited to Arojo Taiwo Adebimpe, a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji. According to the report, Adebimpe is listed as a director of Doylit Nigeria Resources Limited. She was appointed by Governor Oyebanji in December 2023 as Senior Special Assistant in charge of the Akure Liaison Office. Company Incorporated Before Aide’s Appointment Doylit Nigeria Resources Limited was incorporated in August 2022, more than a year before Adebimpe's appointment to the Ekiti State Government. Available procurement records cited in the report indicate that the company had not secured a recorded government contract before Adebimpe assumed office. About two months after her appointment, however, the company reportedly received a ₦15 million contract for clearing 10 hectares of land at Ijesa Isu Agric Development. The company's contract portfolio subsequently increased, with records showing that it received a ₦443.4 million contract in December 2025 for the construction of a BPP e-office and conference hall. The latest ₦578.6 million award is also described as being for the construction of an e-office and conference hall for the BPP.
