🇺🇸 Jimmy Kimmel Takes Late-Night Show Back to Brooklyn

Jimmy Kimmel is returning to Brooklyn with a special week of live broadcasts, continuing a tradition that has become one of the most anticipated events for fans of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The ABC late-night programme will broadcast from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM)'s Howard Gilman Opera House from Monday, September 28 through Friday, October 2, 2026. The shows will be performed before a live audience. A Brooklyn Homecoming The upcoming broadcasts represent another homecoming for Kimmel, who spent his early years in Brooklyn. The comedian has previously taken Jimmy Kimmel Live! to the borough for special tapings. There is some discrepancy in early reports over how many Brooklyn visits this will represent, but LateNighter counts the upcoming run as the show's eighth Brooklyn week, following previous visits in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2025. Kimmel has previously described Brooklyn as an important influence on his ability to interact with people — a skill he considers particularly useful for a talk-show host. Celebrity Guests Yet to Be Announced ABC and Kimmel have not yet revealed the guest lineup for the September 28–October 2 broadcasts. Organisers say an “all-star” lineup is expected, but names will be announced later. Previous Brooklyn editions have featured major entertainment personalities including Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Tom Hanks, Alicia Keys, Stephen Colbert, Emily Blunt and Matt Damon. Kimmel Returns After Summer Break The Brooklyn announcement comes shortly after Kimmel returned to television following an almost three-month summer hiatus. His September 8 return also marked the 4,000th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. During his absence, guest hosts including Rosie O'Donnell, Jelly Roll, Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson and Colman Domingo took turns behind the desk. The show's future has also attracted attention this week after reports claimed it could end following its 24th season. ABC has rejected those reports, calling them “inaccurate” and “purely speculative.” FACTFUL24 Headline Jimmy Kimmel Takes Late-Night Show Back to Brooklyn for Special Week of Live Broadcasts Category: Entertainment / Television / Hollywood What to watch: The biggest question now is which A-list celebrities will join Kimmel when the Brooklyn broadcasts begin on September 28.
