Femi Otedola Reveals the Four Times He Prayed to God, Says Dangote Prays Five Times Daily

Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola has spoken about his personal approach to prayer while highlighting the different religious habits of fellow businessman Aliko Dangote. Otedola made the remarks during a speech at the Dangote Refinery, where he said there had been four significant occasions in his life when he specifically prayed to God. According to reports, the occasions he mentioned included his father's bid for the Lagos State governorship, his financial difficulties and bankruptcy in 2008, a visit to the Dangote Refinery, and the commissioning of the refinery. Explaining his personal approach to prayer, Otedola reportedly said: “I only talk to God when I need a favour.” He contrasted his approach with that of Dangote, whom he described as one of the most religious people he had encountered. Otedola reportedly said Dangote prays five times a day, referring to the billionaire's regular Islamic prayer practice. During the speech, Otedola also reflected on his business relationship with Dangote.
