Former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Bells has opened up about the years-long uncertainty surrounding her father, a military personnel who she says was kidnapped several years ago.

Bells disclosed during an interview with Hero Daniels TV, recounting how her family lost contact with her father after his abduction.

According to her, the incident occurred before she turned 20, while she was writing her second-semester examination.

Bells said the kidnappers initially demanded money but later abandoned the ransom request and told the family that they would keep her father in their camp.

She recalled that her family initially did not immediately suspect anything was wrong because her father, due to his military duties, could sometimes stay away from home for months without contacting them.

Bells said the family eventually established communication with him. According to her account, her father told them that he had attempted to escape but was captured again and taken back to the camp.

She said he later informed the family that his captors were moving towards Chad, warning that communication could become difficult.

Reflecting on their last conversation, Bells said:

“Part of me feels like that was like a goodbye call.”

She added that the military had told the family they would likely have received information if something had happened to him because the kidnappers would have communicated it.

Despite the lack of confirmed information about his whereabouts or condition, Bells said her family continues to hope that he is alive.
