Speed Darlington Fires Back at Geh Geh After Carter Efe Boxing Defeat

Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington, popularly known as Akpi, has reacted strongly to criticism from social media personality Geh Geh following his recent celebrity boxing defeat to content creator Carter Efe.

Darlington addressed Geh Geh in a video response after the online personality reportedly criticised his performance in the highly publicised bout.

The match took place on Thursday at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the “Chaos in the Ring” Independence Edition.

Carter Efe was declared winner after the referee stopped the contest, with Darlington reportedly no longer responding effectively during the fight. The result was recorded as a technical knockout.

Speed Darlington Questions Geh Geh’s Criticism

Reacting to Geh Geh’s comments, Speed Darlington questioned the social media personality’s authority to advise or criticise him.

“Who do you think you are? What makes you qualified to give me advice?” Darlington said.

The entertainer also rejected the idea that his defeat had affected his relevance or public standing. He challenged Geh Geh to compare his own achievements with what Darlington has built in the entertainment industry.

According to reports, Darlington accused Geh Geh of being jealous of his career and accomplishments.

“Your video is full of jealousy,” he said.

Darlington further pointed to his continued work schedule, stating that he had a performance in Owerri despite the boxing loss.

“I have show tomorrow in Owerri, wetin you get? I dey reign,” he said.

‘Do You Know What It Takes to Be Speed Darlington?’

The singer and internet personality also defended the public brand he has created over the years.

He argued that maintaining the Speed Darlington persona requires financial investment, consistency and effort.

“Do you know what it takes to be Speed Darlington? The amount of money required to be Speed Darlington?” he asked.

Darlington went on to make a personal claim against Geh Geh, alleging that jealousy over his ability to travel to the United States influenced the criticism.

“Your whole video is full of jealousy because you no get visa to USA. You can’t even talk to me like that one on one,” he said, according to reports.

The exchange has added fresh controversy to online discussions surrounding Darlington’s defeat.

Carter Efe Stops Speed Darlington

Speed Darlington faced Carter Efe after weeks of public exchanges and promotional build-up between both entertainers.

Their rivalry had played out online before it eventually moved into the boxing ring during the “Chaos in the Ring” event.

Carter Efe reportedly controlled much of the contest, landing several punches as Darlington spent a large portion of the fight defending himself. The referee later stepped in to stop the bout.

The victory extended Carter Efe’s unbeaten record in the celebrity boxing series.

Before facing Speed Darlington, Carter Efe had defeated singer Portable by unanimous decision in May. All three judges reportedly scored the fight 30–27 in Carter’s favour.

“I want an international opponent. I am tired of Akpi Speed Darlington and Portable,” Carter said after the fight.
