Odumodublvck Says Men Who Cannot Die for Their Women Are ‘Fools’

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has sparked reactions after saying that any man who is unwilling to die for his woman is a “fool.”

The rapper made the comment during an appearance on the In Motion Podcast, where he spoke about love, marriage, Christianity and what he believes should be a man’s responsibility in a relationship.

“Any man wey talk says he would not die for his woman na fool,” Odumodublvck said.

Rapper Links View to Christianity

Odumodublvck explained that his position was influenced by Christian teachings on marriage.

He referred to the biblical instruction that husbands should love their wives in the same way Christ loved the Church. According to the rapper, Christ’s sacrifice represents the highest example of love, commitment and responsibility.

His comments suggest that he sees love in marriage as more than affection or romance. For him, it involves sacrifice, protection, provision and a willingness to place the wellbeing of one’s family above personal comfort.

‘I Pray My Wife Lives Longer Than Me’

The rapper also shared his personal view about the future of his marriage.

Odumodublvck said he hopes his future wife lives longer than he does because she is younger than him. He explained that he would want her to take responsibility for the things he leaves behind and ensure that their children are properly cared for.

“I pray that my wife lives longer than me,” he said.

According to him, his wife would inherit his possessions and manage them for the benefit of their children.

The rapper’s comments indicate that he views sacrificial love not only as physical protection, but also as planning for a family’s welfare, providing stability and ensuring that children remain supported even after a parent’s death.

‘My Wife Will Continue What I Started’

Odumodublvck also described women as important partners in preserving the family and continuing a husband’s legacy.

He said he expects his wife to continue the work he starts, particularly in raising and educating their children.

The rapper stressed the importance of mothers in children’s development and used chess to explain why he believes women should be valued in relationships.

“If you don't understand the concept of loving a woman and putting her where she is meant to be, look at chess; the strongest piece is the queen,” he said.

His statement drew attention because it contrasted with the public perception some people have of him as an outspoken and confrontational artiste.

Odumodublvck Responds to Misogyny Claims

During the podcast, the rapper also addressed claims that he is misogynistic.

Odumodublvck said such descriptions bother him because he does not believe his views or actions reflect hatred toward women.

“The biggest misconception people have about me, they think I'm misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it's such an unfair thing to say,” he said.

He questioned how he could be described as someone who hates women while also being willing to sacrifice himself for his girlfriend or future wife.

However, social media users have continued to debate whether willingness to die for a partner should be used as a measure of love in a relationship.

Rapper Says Girlfriend Manages His Money

Odumodublvck also spoke about his relationship with money, revealing that his girlfriend helps manage his finances.

He described himself as someone who often gives away money rather than carefully controlling his spending. The rapper said he believes this habit may be connected to his upbringing and his mother’s generosity.

“Personally, my mum is a cheergiver, so I don't know how to spend money. I often give it out, so my girlfriend holds my money for me,” he said.

The disclosure offered another perspective on his relationship, suggesting that he trusts his partner with major responsibilities beyond romance.

Reactions Trail His Comments

Odumodublvck’s statement has generated mixed reactions online, particularly because of the strong language he used.

Some social media users viewed his comments as an expression of deep commitment, protective love and family responsibility. Others argued that love should not be measured by whether a person is willing to die for a partner.

Despite the controversy, the broader message from the rapper focused on sacrifice, protection, provision and long-term responsibility in marriage.

His comments come amid a period of public attention surrounding his dispute with fellow Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez. However, his latest interview has shifted focus toward his views on relationships, family values and the role of women in his life.
