20 Prospective NYSC Members Rescued in Imo After Joint Military–DSS–Police Operation

Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and a civilian, who were reportedly abducted while travelling through Imo State, have been rescued in an intelligence-led operation by security agencies.
According to security sources, the victims were reportedly taken while travelling through the state, prompting a coordinated search by the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), the police and other security agencies. The operation led to the successful rescue of all 21 abductees.
The rescued individuals are receiving medical attention at a DSS facility, the sources added. Authorities say investigations into the abduction are ongoing and that efforts to apprehend additional suspects continue.
