Arsenal Fight Back to Beat Leeds 2–1

Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2–1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 10. Substitute Bruno Guimarães scored the winner in the 70th minute, completing a turnaround that began with Riccardo Calafiori’s equaliser.
How the Comeback Unfolded
Leeds took the lead in the 55th minute when James Justin finished from Gabriel Gudmundsson’s cross. Calafiori levelled seven minutes later, converting after Ben White sent the ball back across goal.
Mikel Arteta then introduced Guimarães, Jurrien Timber and Viktor Gyökeres. Guimarães scored soon after coming on, finishing a move involving Declan Rice to give Arsenal the lead.
What the Result Means
The win was a response to Arsenal’s 3–0 defeat by Brighton before the international break. It took Arsenal to 15 points from five matches, level with Manchester City, who remained top on goal difference. Leeds stayed on nine points and lost their unbeaten league record.bbc.co+1
Arsenal secured the points, but Leeds had troubled them for much of the match. The comeback showed the value of Arteta’s substitutions, while the visitors’ first-hour chances highlighted areas Arsenal will want to tighten defensively.
Note: Arsenal's 2–1 comeback victory over Leeds was a timely response to their defeat against Brighton. Calafiori's equaliser restored belief, while Guimarães' decisive strike showed how impactful substitutions can be in high-pressure matches. The win kept Arsenal level on points with Manchester City, but defensive vulnerabilities remain an area Arteta must address as the champions pursue another Premier League title.
